GOLD RIVER STREAM KEEPERS SOCIETY MINUTES FOR DECEMBER 12/01
IN ATTENDENCE: JIM MITCHELL, PAUL SMITH, KEVIN DELLO, MIKE THURBER, CHRIS PATRICK, JOHN BRUCE JR, CHRIS ERIKSON, FLOYD NASWELL AND DARRELL GLASS
Meeting called to order at 7:07 pm.
Jim talked about setting up agenda one week before meeting.
Jim asked about unfinished business.
Paul apologized for not contacting Craig Anderson.
Darrel talked about grass seed from WFP.
Kevin talked about Big Bend Creek salmon enumeration.
Darrel gave an update on Hutchinson Creek enumeration.
Paul talked about HCTF proposal for Hutchinson Creek Riparian Project.
Question was put to members on whether they would want their refund or let it stand in the account.
Consensus was reached by all to let it stand in the account for administration costs.
Mike Thurber moved to accept the previous minutes.
Seconded by Paul.
Called to question, all in favor so moved.
Under new business it was discussed to create a phone/email contact list for all members and make sure all members have a copy of the bylaws and constitution.
Jim handed out the supply checklist for everyone to sign and turn in.
Darrel discussed the hack and squirt program by BC Hydro on Siwash Creek and the close proximity to the creek.
Chris Erikson talked about the Conuma off channel and how we should go back and assess again.
Chris stated there are Coho and Chum spawning in it now.
Chris will decide on a date to assess and email to Jim.
Chris Erikson asked about the new enforcement office for DFO and it’s status.
Paul replied that it is apparently up and running.
Paul move to adjourn at 7:40pm. Floyd seconded.
Next meeting to be decided by Jim and sent out by email/phone etc.
